I work in the emergency room at IMC and even though I do not have experience of long term care of the elderly. I do know how to take care of them based on the necessities like cleaning up, walking help, rotation on the bed, etc. I feel like I am one of the few people who doesn't mind taking care of the elderly (since I know some things could be challenging for other people to handle) and I take pleasure taking care of them, because the elderly are wonderful people with amazing life stories and experiences, and I feel that they should be treated with respect and kindness. I treat the elderly like I would want someone to treat my grandparents, for example.
