I am a very caring and patient person who is really good with seniors. For about four years, I cared for my father-in -law who had dementia. After the death of his wife, my husband moved Bob close to us. He was able to live in his own apartment for two years with my help. I checked on him daily, grocery shopped, took him to doctors' appointments, reminded and monitored his medications, and did household chores for him. We became close, he was my buddy. Due to health reasons, he lived the last two years of his life in a skilled nursing facility. I continued to make daily visits at the skilled nursing facility. I continued with daily visits to keep his spirits up and to keep an eye on how his care was going there. He passed away in 2003. I can make a difference in the life of a senior.
