I have been working at an assisted living home located in Horsham for about five months now, and I have been dealing with men and women with all kinds of disorders, including demetia, Alzheimer's and even schizophrenia. I assist with their toileting, washing, laundry, housekeeping duties, feeding, and transferring them. I am certified in both first aid and CPR. I also worked in a family friends home taking care of their grandfather for a short time, cooking for him, helping him get from one place to the other and doing light housekeeping. I treat each resident with respect and love like they should be treated and actually treat them as if they were my own grand pop or grand mom. I am passionate about caring for seniors because one day I will be in the same shoes they are wearing and would like to have caring people to be there for me, to help me when help is needed.
