At age 18, I began working in a nursing home for several years. My grandmother became ill with multiple sclerosis. I worked nights at the nursing home and days taking care of her until she passed two years later. Then I was the assistant director of a day care. My grandfather became ill with dementia. I worked days at the day care and nights caring for him until he passed about 10 years later. Then, my mother became ill with several medical problems, including diabetes and heart problems. We moved in together so I could care for her 24 hours a day. I cared for her until she passed about two years later.

I am passionate about senior care because I have seen first hand the disrespect, loss of dignity, and outright neglect that happens to them. They deserve our utmost respect, personal dignity, and superior care when they take ill. Families are so overwhelmed when a senior member becomes ill, and I am determined to help them work within a system that is broken.

I love music. It soothes the soul. Water exercise is important to re-rehabilitation as well. It helps by easing the pressure on joint movement. I do have access to a pool. I believe in using natural remedies before invasive procedures are done.
