I cared for my ill grandfather before he passed away. I used to do volunteer work at the Mississippi Firefighter's Memorial Burn Center when I lived in Greenville, MS for three years. I have worked in two nursing homes in Indianapolis since I moved here. I value my elders and consider the fact that I will be in the position one day, when I will need someone to take care of me, so you always treat others like you would want to be treated. I am a certified nursing assistant and am CPR and First Aid certified. I drove for medical transportation, when I resided in Greenville, MS. With that job, I spent a lot of time helping my clients do their paperwork at appointments, made sure they got their prescriptions filled, even if I had to go back and get them on my time. I receive great joy from helping elders because I feel like we have so much we can learn from them and any time that I can spend getting to know someone, is time well spent.
