I left a successful career working the Broadway circuit with my husband to tend to my critically ill mother. Four years later (after two and a half years in and out of a coma, loss of part of her leg, a massive fight with infectious disease, and my opportunity to work with a team of over 20 doctors and specialists, she is doing much better! She lives a life of quality now! I am excited that now I am capable of pursuing independent work assignments offering the quality care that I gave to my mother to someone else who needs me! My duties included: monitor, track, and administer critical medications, give injections of hemoglobin building medication, operate and maintain peg tube machine, wound care management, personal hygiene maintenance, oral care, incontinence maintenance, skin care, Foley catheter care and maintenance, bathing, transportation to doctors, physical therapy, and dialysis. Home physical therapy in accordance to therapist home exercise plan, follow, prepare, and maintain renal diet as designed by dietitian. While in and out of hospitals and trauma care facilities I observed and assisted others around her suffering from severe injuries and fatal illnesses. Most had no family and/or caregivers that had proper bedside manor or sincere compassion. It is my calling to provide much deserved care to those who need me. I also own and operate a health and wellness company teaching, training, and consulting people on how to achieve optimal health from the inside out through natural cleansing, detoxification, and a proper diet. I have an amazing amount of experience and understanding of the intensity and importance of this job, and I know I would be a valuable addition to someone's life.
