I'm motivated and ready to assist. In 1995 my sister had a stroke. She was hospitalized for almost two months. The doctors wanted to place her in a nursing home but I thought that was too much. I brought her to my home and cared for her for three years. My mom's neighbor called to ask if she knew of a trusting person to care for her 93-year-old mother who could no longer care for herself. Mom said, "Oh yes, I think that person is right here." I accepted the job and loved it. I worked for this family for four years before my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and stomach cancer in 2004. My family was devastated and I went into overdrive. I took my mom into my home and cared for her. She became weak and bedridden after receiving treatment, and a feeding tube, which she didn't like. In 2007 mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The doctors advised us to put her in hospice because she was going to die. I took care of her until her death in 2008. I did God's will and I am pleased with the job well done. The pain my mom went through was so incredible, I thought the hospital was too harsh and if you or someone could take care for your loved ones, it's for the best. They will have peace!!! I am trained to monitor blood pressure, give injections, blood sugar, heart rate, temperature, fill/flush/change feeding tube, change/flush lopez tube, measure intake/outtake, bladder control daily therapy, CPR,change, and monitored oxygen level. I would love to assist in travel.They will be well taken care of.
