I have volunteered for hospice for eight years. I go to people's homes to assist them in any way with supervision. Also, I work at hospice with the clients. I've been doing this for going on five years now. It is very rewarding. I realized a while back it wasn't how much I did, but just being there seemed to give the clients some comfort. To me, that is everything. I also do live-in care for the elderly and sick. I have my First Aid and AED. I cared for my husband who died of cancer and saw my mother die from Alzheimer's. I have impeccable references. I'm doing what I love doing in my life at this time.
