Profile of Krista W.
Part-Time, 1 Year of Experience
Hello! My name is Krista. I live in the Back Bay and am currently beginning a 20-hour a week internship to receive a guidance counselor certification. Although I have a MA in counseling/mental health, I entered nursing school in hope to provide more holistic care to the individuals I work with. Even though I decided the hospital setting wasn't for me, I took a lot away from nursing school that I can use while caring for the physically ill in times of need. I have always had a great appreciation for the elderly and have made great connections with my elder clients. In a lot of ways they just need someone to talk to and to be their companion and friend. I am dedicated to social issues regarding the elderly and while in graduate school I researched the issues the elders face and have researched in depth elder abuse across cultures, particularly within the Native American culture. It is important to treat the elderly with the respect they deserve despite any special needs and I would feel honored care for your loved elderly when they need help the most.- Female
