I was once the 22nd person in two years to be hired as a companion for someone's 99-year-old mother. I stayed for six years. Obviously it isn't easy finding the most loving, capable, caring, and responsible person to assist when it becomes necessary. It's not always easy and can certainly cause a tremendous amount of upset and chaos.
My name is Gail. I am in my 50's. I am a versatile, patient and kind person. I have compassion for those who can no longer perform the way they desire. In many ways, I can be more sensitive to the nuances of their emotional needs more than others. I am level headed when things aren't easy, and am grounded where I need to be to perceive some mishaps that may occur. I am capable of taking an active part in facilitating the ease and harmonious flow of another's life. I am very responsible, have assisted in the life of those with dementia, depression, diabetes, and many other emotional and physical situations common to the elderly. I also taught Brain Gym, assisting young children and adults with their learning disabilities in a self-employed situation for five years. I am versatile, patient, and capable in many areas. I am very responsible and I enjoy cooking and am good at it.
