I worked at University Hospital of Colorado in the OB/GYN, for about eight months. Before that, I worked at an assisted living facility for two years. I started off as just an aide, and within a month I advanced to being a manager as well as a q-map. Q-map means I am in charge of the medications, give them to the residents, and I am in charge of the overall building of over 80 residents and staff. I loved hospital jobs, but I truly love and care about the people I used to take care of at the assisted living. They have become such a part of my life, so it is like my second home. No matter what I end up doing in life for now, I can't imagine not being around the elderly. I always enjoyed going to work. I feel I'm a very loving and caring person. My experience with this job has shown me it's a very money-hungry profession, and I'm a very understanding person on money issues. Depending on if you just need a ride somewhere or a couple hours of care, I'm not too pricey, I take care of people because I enjoy it. Thanks, Ashley
