CARE.COM ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH NACCRRA
As part of the relationship, NACCRRA will connect Care.com members to more than 700 of its local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies (CCR&Rs) as an added component to the nationwide Care.com child care center search offering. These agencies assist families with searching for local child care centers, ensuring families in 99 percent of all populated U.S. ZIP codes have access to high-quality, affordable child care. Care.com members can now use the local CCR&Rs as added resources to help them find safe care options for their children.
Care.com is proud to also become a partner and champion of NACCRRA's Child Care AwareŽ Parent Network (http://www.ccaparentnetwork.org)/, a consumer education program that aims to bring child care issues to the forefront of American consciousness and raise the priority of children's issues.
In addition, Care.com released the first edition of the State of Care Index in collaboration with NACCRRA in July. This unique report is a quarterly snapshot of America's attitudes toward child care and senior care. Care.com plans to continue this partnership with further editions of the Index, leveraging NACCRRA's decades of child care research experience.
Care.com and NACCRRA will work in partnership to bring education and training opportunities to Care.com's hundreds of thousands of caregivers, supporting the organizations' joint mission of elevating the standards of child care available to families.
"I couldn't be happier to enter this relationship that supports our mission," said Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Founder and CEO of Care.com. "Care.com has always provided tools and resources to help families find the best possible in-home care for their children. Now with NACCRRA as our partner, we've given our members access to extra guidance they can use when looking for child care outside their homes."
"There are more than 14 million children under age 6 in need of child care because their parents work," said Linda K. Smith, Executive Director of NACCRRA. "Finding care, especially quality care, can be a daunting task for these parents. It is our hope that through this partnership we can connect more parents looking for quality child care outside of the home with the resources they need to find care that meets their needs and expectations."
Care.com helps families connect with local babysitters, nannies, special needs caregivers, senior home care, pet sitters, tutors and housekeepers through a national network of trusted caregivers. Families in need of trustworthy caregivers can search by ZIP code, service and salary to find high-quality care providers in their area.
As an added benefit to families in need of care, all caregiver profiles on Care.com are reviewed by a team of experienced moms and also include references and background checks. These measures provide families with extra layers of confidence and security when they make important decisions regarding their family care needs.
