I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I have grown up with dogs, and for much of the past 5-6 years I have been the primary caregiver for them. I have had 2 pugs, 2 boxers, an American bulldog, and a pekingese - meaning that I have experience caring for large and small dogs. My dogs have had a variety of health problems, including congestive heart failure, where I had to give one of my dogs pills on a daily basis. Other than my own pets, I have cared for many of my family friends' dogs. A former teacher of mine has 3 dachshunds, one of which is paralyzed from the waist down. In this care, I was trained on making the dog go to the bathroom. This same teacher also has 2 cats who I tend to when I take care of her dogs.
