I love animals and have grown up with pets my whole life. I started pet-sitting and house-sitting in high school and have stayed pretty busy doing it ever since. My past jobs have consisted of pet-sitting rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, cats, and most often, dogs. Dog breeds I have cared for, specifically, include Labrador Retriever, Weimaraner, Jack Russell Terrier, Dachshund, Westie, Maltese, English Bulldog, Yorkshire Terrier, Sheltie, Keeshond, and several mixed breeds. My jobs have ranged from checking on the pets a couple times a day, to checking on the pets several times a day, to staying the night with the pets, and to living at the household to care for the pets for a period of time. I am very flexible to meet most meets, depending on the situation and what the owner(s) feels most comfortable with. Beyond the needs of the pets, I also make sure to bring mail and newspapers inside the house and turn lights off and on. In many cases, I have helped with household chores and cleaning. My goal is to make each pet owner feel confident and relaxed about leaving their pets in my care. I know that so much of enjoying a vacation or trip lies in having as little worry as possible, so eliminating the worry of their pets needs being met is one way I can help.
