I have had a very wide variety of pets, including cats, dogs, birds, fish, and rabbits. I have been the sole caretaker for these animals and I am currently a volunteer for the Yonkers Humane Society at their PetSmart cat room adoption center. I am responsible for tasks such as feeding and washing the animals, making sure their areas are clean and comfortable, interacting with them and helping potential adopters interact with them, and applying medications such as insulin shots, ear drops, eye drops, and oral medications. I am currently in college and studying to beocme a zoologist and I am working two other jobs, one of which is at a veterinary office. Much of my work with animals has been through volunteer work.
