I have looked after many pets belonging to friends of my parents when I was younger, mostly dogs and cats. I have done different types of pet sitting. Some where I was asked to spend the night at the owners' homes. Others where, I simply showed up a few times a day to walk and/or feed. Past experiences that stand out for me are my mother's best friend's St. Bernard for a week, another friend of the family's ferrets and parrots, and a neighbor's Dalmatian.

I also have extensive experience caring for exotic animals in zoo and sanctuary settings. I spent three and half years working at an elephant sanctuary. Before that, I received a Zoo Animal Technology degree from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL, where I acquired over 1600 hours in the practical care of a wide range of exotic animals.

I have a large Lab mix, a Calico cat, and a Ball Python as my own pets.

My job is working at an environmental testing laboratory, and it is very flexible with my daily hours. It would be no problem at all to leave in the middle of the day, if that's when your pet needed attention.
