I have owned pets since I was a little girl (mostly cats, a bird, fish) and love animals! I currently have a dog who I've had for 12 years and a stray kitty who my roommate and I (and I'm sure half our neighbors) are feeding.

My most recent and long standing pet sitting job has been for a couple whose cats I watch when they go out of town, at least a few times a year. I have been watching their babies for the past five years at least. As well, I take care of my parents cat when they go out of town a few times a year. And a few years ago I took care of my best friend's love birds when she went out of town.

Other animal related experience involves a three month summer job as an animal caretaker/behind the scenes person at a pet store in 1997. I've also volunteered for a year at a wildlife rehabilitation which rescues and restores injured native Texas wildlife. My role there was animal intake, answering inquiries on how to care for injured animals, and on occasion helping in the bird rehabilitation area (feeding, cleaning cages).
