I have had a lot of experience with dogs, cats, horses, and small animals. My experience includes caring for animals with special needs, including geriatrics, ill or injured pets, and fussy eaters.
I have had 3 independent pet care jobs separate from my own animals. I have cared for a paraplegic dog who needed wheel chair assistance and needed to be expressed every couple of hours, along with being carefully medicated. I have looked after a very sick cat with a rare disease that required several pills a day along with subcutaneous shots and required a great deal of encouragement just to eat her food.
I have dealt with high energy dogs as well, who require lots of daily exercise and play time.
I have also worked with many different kinds of horses for several years at both private and show barns tending to daily care and needs such as turn outs, feeding, picking stalls, bathing, administering medications, etc.
I have also looked after several small animals as well, such as guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas and fish.
I have taken several veterinary courses and am currently pursuing a degree in equine studies.
