I love animals and have always owned a dog since I was little. For the past couple of summers I have taken care of a family friend's older dog for a few weeks while they went on a yearly vacation. It was close by so I went several times throughout the day and stayed for a good amount of time each visit (more so/longer as the dog aged). I would feed, walk, and sit with him. I loved this dog, but unfortunately he died this year at the age of 17.

Additionally, several of my family members have dogs and as a dog owner myself I am no stranger to what it takes to provide care for them. I've helped watch a variety of dogs; dogs with peeing problems, young dogs, old dogs, and even my aunts blind beagle.
