Animal Volunteer Experience:
I am a Colonel Potter Cairn Rescue Network approved Foster Home. I foster Cairns who have been abused, from animal shelters, or puppy mills. The foster home socializes, potty trains, and prepares them so they are able to be adopted into forever homes.

I was a Petpals Member when living in Iowa. This is an organization who trains it's members to do pet therapy and temperament tests on potential therapy dogs. The therapy dogs go into Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and Child Care Centers. I take one of our dogs to Ravenwood Nursing Home where he has proved to be a blessing to the residents there.

I have shadowed at Klima Small Animal Clinic in Waterloo, IA and had the opportunity to observe various surgeries.

I have shared my home with animals my entire life, participated in several obedience classes, and continue to educate myself reading books on animal behaviors and care.

I have volunteered to walk dogs and do cat care at the local Humane Society.
