For the past 2 years I have pet-sit for 2 different families in the area. The one has a chow-mix search and rescue dog, and an orange long-haired cat. At the other house they have 1 pit-bull, 5 cats of various ages/breeds and have fostered dogs such as a blind pit-bull and an 'excitable' bull dog. I stay at the houses, provide food, water, socialization, and exercise for the animals. I also have provided medicine that is prescribed to the animals to be taken in food or in a pill-pocket. I have dealt with injuries, medication, injections, and care for a number of other animals as I am finishing a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation at Delaware Valley College and have practiced these procedures in class and as a volunteer at Mercer County Wildlife Center. I work with horses at a local barn as well and am an avid animal lover.
