My very social fuzz bucket, Pearl, and I moved to Rocky Hill so I could complete a contracting job in East Hartford. Since Pearl did not have her usual doggy door to relieve herself nor her Texas neighbors to play with her during my workdays, I needed a Dog Walker to visit with her (Mon-Thurs, 11-12) to tend to her social, exercise and relief needs. Out of dozens of online ads, I only contacted 3 folks (I am way picky where Pearl's care is concerned). Though all 3 were obviously wonderful people, I was pretty sure Lori Light was the one for Pearl when I read Lori was also a professional groomer who had volunteered for two years training and socializing dogs for the Ct. Humane Society and currently offered free grooming services to the Protectors of Animals. but I waited to let Pearl determine the final outcome since she can sense nice vs. not nice people. The moment Pearl spotted Lori, she ran up to her, hopping all around her legs (which verified Lori was in the nice people category) and since then we were blessed to have such a trustworthy, reliable and generous caretaker tending to her midday needs (Lori spoils both Pearl and me with little surprises from fancy handmade dog bandanas to a tiny, precious Christmas tree). btw Lori also leaves me a weekly report, which she updates daily with Pearl news (such as pee and poop business). In addition Lori leaves handwritten highlights of their time notes, which range from Pearl squirrel chasing news to Lori chicken bone danger tips. On the days the weather is too rainy (or snowy now) for a long walk, Lori plays and cuddles Pearl inside to feed her social, exercise needs. also Lori has groomed Pearl at a more than reasonable rate (plus free trinkets like earrings, smiling) with more than acceptable results. so If you are also picky about the physical and emotional welfare of your dog, I know that if you choose Lori as his or her caretaker, not only will you not be disappointed with her care, you will be thankful for it as you go about your work day (or vacation, etc.) without one worry about your loved one. In fact, I am so impressed with her care that I am taking the time and making the effort to write my first ever Dog Walker review. That is how appreciative I am for the unique care Lori provides for Pearl. Take care, Kay
