Hi there! I'm a 28-year-old Sunday school teacher, certified nursing assistant, part-time nanny, and Paramedic student.
Besides my paid experience through care.com, I have in the past worked as a dog walker, & a boarding & kennel assistant at an animal hospital, as a small animal companion specialist at a pet store, & as a groomer's assistant at a doggie salon. I currently have two large Lab/mixes (the loves of my life) and a Chihuahua and in the past have had pet rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, cats, and even a duck!
I dog sit for my friend's smaller dog on occasion and have house sit for neighbors as well.
I can offer dog walking, playtime, house sitting, etc, and also offer some grooming services, such as bathing and nail trims and am great at giving medications to dogs and cats (which can be difficult if you have a squirmy pet).
I can come to your home to check on your little guys, OR I also offer pet sitting in my home, for dogs and small animals (such as hamsters, etc.), but I cannot offer cat sitting in my home, as my husband is allergic.
As I said, I have 3 dogs myself, so if care is to be provided in my home, you must have your dogs up to date on all shots (and have their vet records for me to review), they must be flea-free and on flea preventative, they must NOT be animal, food or toy aggressive, you must have a crate/cage for them (just in case they need 'time-outs' from the other dogs), and I must first be able to do a meet & greet and behavior/temperament assessment prior to them coming to my home.
Please note, my rates are based per visit, or per day depending on what level of care you need, not per hour, and my rates are competitive to the 'doggie daycares' and animal 'hotels' around us locally. (If you see a lower advertised price than what I am offering, please let me know and I will match and often beat it!)
