I started out my experience with pet care taking by caring for my own pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, birds). In high school I moved on to volunteering at a local shelter cleaning cat kennels, and socializing the adult cats. In college, I worked at a pet boarding and grooming facility where I was responsible for feeding, bathing, walking, cleaning up after, and medicating a variety of breeds and temperaments of dogs and cats.

I also completed an internship as a farm educator and was in charge of the daily care of all of the educational farm animals, which included goats, cows, donkeys, horses, pigs, sheep, and chickens. In addition I have provided in home care for cats/dogs/horses on a short or long term basis, as well as provided dog walking services on a bi-weekly basis.

I have always been passionate about animal care and welfare. Through owning animals as a young adult, I have seen first hand the role they take on in your life. I can not imagine not being around animals!
