I have been a pet lover ever since I can remember. When I was about 5 years old, I decided I wanted to become a veterinarian when I grew up, until someone told me that I would occasionally have to put some of the animals down who were suffering in pain. While growing up, we had a black lab named Pal, a German shepherd named Sunshine, three bunnies named Clovis, Buns and Hector, as well as four cats named Skipper, Lou, Lily and Samantha. We also had a canary named Holly, (not at the same time of course). I love animals because they do not require much of you, yet they give back so much more. Most animals, if you've had them long enough, are very perceptive to your moods and can help calm a person down or cheer someone up in a matter of seconds. I would do anything for my animals and others as well. They are just a delight to be around.
