I had always had pets growing up (cats, dogs, fish) and love them dearly. I still love pets even though we don't have any at the present moment, except for one fish. I have dog and cat-sat for many years for relatives and friends' pets. I believe pets are like family and should be treated with kindness and respect. That wag of the tail or purr sound from a cat just gets me every time and I can't help but love them. I am more comfortable with "non-aggressive" animals, though am fine with all as long as they're OK with me.
