DOGS: I have a 4-year-old 80 pound lab-mix who is energetic, loving, and well-trained. I groom him every week and walk him or take him to the dog park daily. I treat all of the dogs I care for as my own, giving them ample attention and making sure they get enough exercise and play time. I have been dog-sitting for 5+ years for friends and family-from multiple, larger dogs in the country, to one beagle in the city. I'm comfortable feeding, bathing, walking, clipping nails, and giving medication to dogs. I've watched dogs (and house-sat) for up to 2 weeks at a time and can handle long term care just fine.

CATS: I currently do not have a cat (I had to give mine away last year before moving out of the country for a volunteering position), but have had cats all of my life.

OTHER ANIMALS: I had a tortoise for 5 years of my life and took great care of him. There was even a time when he had an illness and I had to inject him with medication (with a needle) under his armpit for 2 weeks, and I did pretty well. I've also taken care of other reptiles, including small snakes, geckos, lizards, etc.
