I have 3 years of experience as a pet sitter. My jobs have been as little as a 4 hour day, (caring for a sick cat who needed medication at regular intervals, feeding, grooming and cuddling), to a 3 month position careing for 7 Quarter horses, 2 Potbellied pigs, 1 Pygmy goat, 5 chickens, 4 dogs, 6 cats and one Goffin Cockatoo. I have been responsible for the care of, a skunk, 2 emu's, a Blue Macaw, an iguana, a Gopher snake, a raccoon, and fish. Most of my time has been spent with traditional family pets. The positions included, feeding, grooming, bathing, walking, taking puppies to their socialization classes, massage, petting and playing. My background includes 2 years as a volunteer for Shambala (Tippi Hedrens Big Cat Rescue), volunteer work at my local shelter, a vet tech, working for a mobile veteranary low-cost shot clinic, working for a start up magazine, Get-a-Pet, which was a type of car trader magazine for rescue animals. Over the years, I have cared for pets of my own - 2 miniature horses, many rescue dogs and cats , a lamb, and a cockatoo. I am also an artist who's favorite subjects are pets.
