My clients in the past 10 years worked extremely long hour, high paced jobs and didn't have much time for their animals. Seniors who weren't able to get out and walk their dog would hire me for yoga/work on flexibility and I would take their dog out for a brisk walk if they weren't physically able to. They loved their pets but had no time for them. Jokingly they called their pets my dog, horse, or cat..since I was the one with them most of the day or they would go away on the weekends occasionally and couldnt take the pets.
Living close to the bay and beaches and being an athletic person/coach, I always worked as a dog walker in the middle of the day for 3 clients having 1 or 2 dogs.
