Experience includes: a year of volunteer work with the local MSPCA in which I worked with dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and other various animals that were brought into the shelter; a rigorous weekly training course prior to that; a dog discipline, training, and behavior interpretation course, as well as constant at-home experience. I have worked with a friend who is an animal trainer, gaining more experience with dogs and household animals as well as farm animals, including horses. I have grown up with various tempered dogs my entire life including a previously abused lhasa apso that we adopted, a yellow lab puppy that we raised ourselves, and a cat that we adopted from the MSPCA. I lived with two adorable and excitable pit-bulls for a year, which gave me a lot of experience working with very strong dogs. I am very good with animals; I am very kind and patient with animals but unafraid of them which makes discipline relatively easy and very affective. I believe in crate training, however if your animal does not have a crate I can certainly respect that and will discipline with sitting time-outs. I love animals; I love working with them, getting to know them, playing with them, and helping them. I believe in building a relationship with any animal I am entrusted to look after.
