I want to thank the pet owner for her compliments on my care of her pets! However, this owner and I agreed on a pick up time of 11 a.m. on Sunday, then I received a voice mail on Saturday afternoon, which changed the pick up time to 3 p.m. on Sunday, to which I did not object. On Sunday around 11:45 a.m. , the owner called to ask if she could pick up her pups then, but did not show up until almost 1:30 p.m. (I called at 12:45 p.m. to confirm pick up and the owner stated that they waited because they assumed that it was not convenient for me, but did not call to tell me the pick up was delayed). I was hesitant on an earlier pick up because I had a plumber coming to work in my front yard to unclog the sewer system that was backing up into a PVC pipe in my basement at that time : ( I did offer advice on proper nutrition, and I bathed her dogs for her at my neighbor's house since I did not have running water at the time. I even blow dried them on my bathroom floor so they wouldn't run around the house damp and be cold (they are very small dogs). The dogs were great, but I feel that this situation was partly miscommunication on the parts of both parties and not a complete considerate of my situation with the plumbing problem, which was unpredictable and stressful. I am a full-time animal science teacher at a vocational high school, and was in sales in the veterinary industry prior to that. I feel confident that I have great human interaction skills as well as with animals.
