When my daughter was young, I realized she needed a pet, so we rescued an adorable buff Cocker Spaniel who became a member of our family for 12 years. We felt blessed to have her that long in our lives. In addition, I had also rescued a beautiful greyhound, Abbey, who looked like a small deer. Our pet menagerie increased with chinchillas, guinea pigs, birds and hamsters.
I have had the privilege of being asked to take care of family/friends dogs and cats while they were away from home or on vacation because they trusted me to take care of their "children," either staying in the home or coming over to feed and take them outside. When caring for the dogs, their size ranged from small to large, which included terrier, Chesapeake Retriever, and mixed breeds. I would play with them in the yard, especially if the yard was fenced in, so they could run and catch their toys and walk them, for added exercise.
Currently, I have a beautiful, spoiled cat named, Khloe, who was rescued from the streets. I believe that pets are family members who should be cared for and loved because they bring much joy to the home.
On a more personal level, I am a mature person with a college degree and have two grown daughters. I love to garden, read, cook, and help those who are in need. I live in Bordentown and attend church in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
In addition to pet care, I will bring in your mail, newspapers, turn on lights, etc., so as to not attract unwanted attention.
