I have approximately 10-12 years experience working with animals. I have had multiple animals of my own, my whole life though, and I cared for and trained them all. I have experience caring for and riding horses. I also worked for multiple kennels.

I was involved in a camp from the age of 5-14, where I learned how to care for, ride and show horses. I was responsible for retrieving my horse from the pasture in the morning taking it to the barn where I fed and groomed it. Then I would clean all my riding equipment and my horses stall. I would have chores to do around the barn that included fetching hay for all the horses, sweeping the barn, and helping other people prep there horse. I would have about 4 hours riding time a day where we would practice jumping our horses and preparing our routines.

I worked for the Humane Society, where I was responsible for the upkeep of all kennels and providing tours and information to hopeful adopters. My responsibilities included feeding and walking the dogs and cleaning all kennels, bedding, and dishes. Any people interested in adopting an animal were given a walk through of the kennels and allowed to take a dog/cat of their choice out to a play room. Here they were able to interact with the animal as I told them about the dog/cat, the adoption process and answer any questions they had.

I worked for KK&Co. a grooming and boarding shop, where I was in charge of the kennel side of the shop which consisted of about 30 fenced kennels that had anywhere from 2-4 dogs and 10 individual cat boxes. I would feed all the dogs and fill all water buckets while removing all dirty bedding. I would take 2-4 dogs out to be walked and put in an outer kennel while I cleaned their inside kennel. All dirty bedding was to be washed throughout the day and food bowls were cleaned everyday. Some of the animals were there to be boarded and bathed; and some were rescued and there waiting for adoption. I was responsible for making sure the dogs boarded got the proper food, meds treats and even extra love and playtime when requested! They also needed to be bathed and groomed and ready to go for pick up at least 1 hour prior to scheduled time. Also the dogs waiting for adoption were bathed when needed and given any shots or meds needed. When I had the time I enjoyed showing these dogs extra attention even training and socializing them so as to better their chances for adoption and just better their overall quality of l
