I've always loved animals -- I grew up with dogs, cats, fish and mice. Over the years I've pet-sat for multiple families in Monmouth County, NJ, as well as Durham/Chapel Hill, NC (typically dogs and cats, but I've taken care of rabbits and other small animals as well). I was in charge of taking care of the cats at my local Petco (through Independent Animal Rescue -- a local rescue organization), but most recently, I was a volunteer at the Animal Protection Society of Durham and helped to socialize their abandoned and neglected dogs. I am also a dog owner and would be happy to provide you with references.
