I have done pet-sitting off and on for over 10 years, with cats, dogs, and fish, for one or two weeks at a time, usually within a house-sitting context. I spent quality time playing, walking, and hanging out with the cats and dogs, as well as putting indoor diapers on a dog, ointment on their noses, and spray in their ears, not to mention keeping to special dogie or kitty dietary needs. I love animals, most of them are easy to love. Having grown up with cats and dogs, it's just natural to care for them. I adore a purry kitty, and sweet puppies relaxing for a nap. I used to see people bring pets into the senior community for pet therapy, where I used to work. They had such a calming, healing effect on the residents there.
