I have had dogs and cats for over 35 years, all strays or adopted. I currently have one dog, a 12-year-old female. and two cats, a brother and sister, who are 5 years old. I worked for over 25 years in the news business, where I always developed stories that improved the welfare of animals. When I was working, I began to volunteer at my local animal shelter. I spent Saturday's walking the dogs and petting the cats with my daughter. My involvement grew into photographing the animals, updating the shelter's website, and posting the photos on petfinder.com. I served on the Board of Directors and continue to do volunteer work.
I have worked for a dog-walking service for several years and cared for all breeds of dogs (Pitbulls, Great Danes, Bulldogs, Mutts, Poodles, Siamese cats, fish, turtles and rabbits).
I am responsible, mature, active and have a very positive outlook on life. I love animals and some time in the future I plan to move upstate to board animals and take in senior dogs.
I currently work part-time at my local library, and can care for pets part-time.
