I have lifelong experience with animals--dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and even fish. I have always had multiple pets--at present I have 3 happy, spoiled, well behaved (mostly) dogs.

Over the years I have administered IV's under a vet's supervision, rehabilitated a Great Dane with a torn ACL for 6 months post surgery, nursed orphaned newborn puppies and administered various first aid techniques. As a landscape designer, I'm well informed to the dangers of poisonous plants and their identification in addition to household items and 'human' food dangers. I am always aware of changes in a pets behavior and signals that something may be wrong and act immediately.
I have always handled dogs gently, calmly and firmly. I don't believe animals respond well to harsh discipline, but firm, loving handling.
I know first hand how hard it is to be away from a pet. There's no substitute for at least having the peace of mind that someone will be there for your pets that genuinely cares about your animals well-being while you are away.
