I owned a dog for most of my life. I fed him, took him on walks, and loved him.

When he died, I wasn't able to get another dog, but I helped some neighbors with their pets. I fostered a dog for the summer of 09 after working a pet adoption day for a friend. The dog's name was Jessie and she stayed at a permanent foster home that was a bit crowded and the owners were going on vacation. I watched the dog, fed her, let her outside, and loved her. Although she was housebroken, she barked when she wanted to go outside, even at 4 a.m. Once we got on a schedule of when she went outside, she didn't bark at 4 a.m. anymore to be let outside.

I dog sat for my boss for the weekend and also dog sat for a friend of hers for a separate weekend. I fed the dogs, let them out, walked them, and played with them.

I love pets and I enjoy helping care for someone's pets while they are away. So they can enjoy their vacation and know that their pets are being taken care of.
