My journey with animals started out when I was 7 years old and had kittens born on top of me while I was sleeping. I woke up to find my cat giving birth to her precious 6 babies. From then on, I have felt I had a special connection with animals that has increased as I got older. I am 23 and have a dog, 2 Cockatiels, a mali uromastyx lizard, and 2 cats. In the last 15 years I have cared for cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, chickens, lizards, frogs, toads, fish, tarantulas, snakes, and various other aquatic/reptilian/ and land dwelling animals. I have also taken special care of orphaned animals and special needs animals. In the summer or 2011, I had the blessing of hand-raising a baby mockingbird that was found in the gutter at 7 days old with no pin feathers. He was successfully released into his natural wild habitat after becoming a juvenile and was able to hunt and fly on his own. Any animal placed in my care will be taken care of with utmost respect. I feel each animal has a personality of their own and deserves great care. I have administered various medications and have administered IV treatments to animals as well. I am comfortable with any task regarding health.
