I have owned pets all of my life. I love them! Cannot have a pet at this present time, but would love to be able to care for them. I have worked at a pet boarding/grooming business for 2 years. My job description was pet care manager. My job consisted of feeding/watering dogs and cats six days a week. Letting each dog out into the play area individually 3 times a day. Medicating animals as needed. Keeping kennels and yard clean. Learning each animal's personality/likes and dislikes. Watching for any signs of sickness or unusual behavior. I learned how to be aware of a dog's body language and the way they responded to people using caution as necessary. I also took dogs for 1 hour walks when requested by owners, other than their play time in yard. Have bathed and brushed both dogs and cats as part of my job. I believe that I have a special way with animals because of my love for them. To me animals are very intelligent and know who loves them and doesn't fear them. I have also worked at a pet store for over a year interacting with customers and their pets supplying them with their needs to take great care of their pets.
