Currently, I am in school to become a Veterinary Technician and hold a position as a Student Technician in an animal emergency room. Before this I worked as a Veterinary Assistant and used to care for animals inside and outside the workplace.

My dogs are like my children and since they are older (Weimaraners ages 11 and 13) I just cannot fathom boarding or kenneling them. I have been active in keeping pet owners minds at ease while they are out of town, by providing in home and out of home pet care since I was a teenager.

Most recently I have been a part of daily dog and cat care. I have had dogs stay in my home for overnight companionship and have visited homes multiple times a day while owners were out of town.

Some dog owners have feline friends as well. I have had experience with cats that need oral medications (either willingly or need to be pilled)or may need fluids under the skin due to dehydration or kidney disease.

I have become proficient in giving dogs subcutaneous fluids as well. Chloe, my 13-year-old, suffers from kidney disease and receives subcutaneous fluids weekly.

My love for animals started as a child. I was involved in dog shows in my early teens and was certified as a junior handler by the AKC. My dog show experience was strictly with Dachshunds!

My hours and services are flexible. My full time position is three days a week for 12 hours each. I am available 7 days a week: for dog walking/exercising, feline care, overnight and extended stay care. I have a lot of experience with geriatric care and understand the need to keep certain animals in their comfort zone.
