Since the age of one, I have been surrounded by dogs. When my Dalmatian, Domino, turned 10, my family and I rescued a puppy from a shelter when she was in bad condition. Unfortunately, Domino had to be put down after various medications falsely prolonged her life and she was in immense pain. However, we still have our rambunctious puppy named CoCo who wreaks havoc!
When I was 14, my mother and I chose to volunteer for the South Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Maplewood, New Jersey. We were take-home volunteers, which means we fostered the hurt or orphaned wild animals. We had an array of animals in our house: raccoons, bunnies, opossums, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels; even skunks! Basically, I have the skills to clean up any mess and control even the wildest of animals. I am also an avid watcher of The Dog Whisperer, which helps me get a better understanding of why animals- specifically dogs- do what they do. I love all animals and would have a blast walking and taking care of any animal I am given the opportunity to!
