The duties vary, but often include tasks such as feeding, walking, cleaning up after and socializing with pets as well as getting the mail, watering plants, etc. In high school I went through a 15 week training program to volunteer at the Animal Rescue Foundation so I learned a lot about caring for cats and dogs.
