I have always had animals and since we got our latest dog, a border collie mix, I have been primarily in charge of his care. I handle feeding, vet visits, walking, training, and nearly every aspect of his life. We also competed in agility when he was younger, and I learned a lot in the process of training him. He was the 'wild child' in the class, so I got to try a variety of new techniques. In addition, I've taken care of several other dogs while friends and neighbors have been out of town. For several years in high school I also walked a neighbor's dog for her when she injured her hand. During that time, the dog became more comfortable with other dogs and her aggression became manageable to the point where she would happily greet my own dog at the door.
