This past year, the Humane Society asked me to help with a day old kitten, whom I ended up fostering and then keeping. Once you bring animals back to health, it is hard to give them up. I watch people's cats and dogs while they go out of town all the time. I have lived on a small island for a long time, so there aren't a lot of options, we all help each other and I love it.
