All my life I have been an animal lover; and all my life, I have had pets in my home. Whenever I went on vacation, I worried about my pets--would they think I had abandoned them? Would my pet-sitter remember that Sassy needed to have her questioning mews answered while being fed, or that Milo only sat in your lap if you had headphones on, and that the frogs in the lily pond needed to be complimented on their good looks when they poked their heads up out of the water? Fortunately, I found such a pet-sitter who allowed me to enjoy myself when I had to be away from home. Because of my love for animals, my tolerance and encouragement of their quirky habits, and my total understanding of the emotions of the humans that love them, I like taking care of them for others as someone had for me. My pets along with others' pets that I have cared for include dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, llamas, chickens, birds, squirrels, ginkos, hermit crabs, and numerous rescued types of wildlife. I don't know who is more neurotic, animals or their owners; but you can count me and my pets among that group. Therefore, as a pet-sitter, no request is considered strange in order for me to keep someone's pet happy until their favorite person or people return home.
