I have loved animals since I was a small girl. Growing up our neighbors had a black Rottweiler or perhaps it was a Doberman, either way this dog was not exactly known for being friendly. My parents and I were out for a walk and I saw this dog and took off. I started to run up to it and the owner told my mom to stop me. Well it was to late. I was already standing inches from the dog. My mom told me later how terrified she was. I just walked right up to this dog and gave him a big hug. The owner was shocked. She said that is the first kid my dog has ever let near him. Well after that I used to beg my mom to take me to see their doggie or as I would say "door doggie" because I couldn't say 'th'. I really do just love animals and I especially love the crazy ones. The ones that people say "be afraid of" I usually try to be friends with. Of course I am not stupid about it, but you can't let the dog think he has control to make you afraid. Dog's have a pack order and they need to know that they are not the boss. That love for animals has followed me my whole life. I worked at an animal supply store, for 2 years. I started out as a cashier and then moved on to being the small animal specialist, bird specialist and the fish specialist. I also worked as a dog trainer. As one person said, I was pretty much all things to all people. Through my work there, I really learned a lot. I learned how to medicate birds, small animals and even reptiles. Giving a tortoise Cipro isn't easy. I hand fed baby Conures (small parrot) and I will admit, I fell in love. Those birds became my babies. I learned a great deal about dog and cat food nutrition and through regular trips to the vet with some of our animals I learned a lot from the vet. I know a lot and what I don't know I will always try to find out. I hope that you will allow me to help you provide the best care for your pet. I look forward to working with you and your pet.
