I do not have any pet care experience, but I am not a stranger to animals. I have had many hamsters growing up. I have had two ferrets for nine years. I spent a lot of time with them every day. I developed a close bond with them. I used to take them to ferret shows where they had games for the ferrets. I presently have two chickens. Although they lay eggs, I consider them my "girlfriends" (pets). I talk and walk around the yard with them for at least two hours a day. The chickens and I have really developed a closeness with each other.

When I'm around animals, I talk softly and very gentle, so they seem to respond and trust me.

I presently volunteer at the Animals for Life shelter in Middlebury. I walk the dogs and also spend time with the cats. I also help do fundraising for the shelter. I have been volunteering there for about four years. I have references including a girl from the shelter.

I am 47 years old and married. I have my own transportation and am a non-smoker.
