As a 24-year-old dog lover, I have acquired a lot of experience caring for pets. Some examples include, but are not limited to, volunteering at an animal shelter, dog sitting, and caring for my own dogs. As a volunteer at Anderson Animal Shelter, I am responsible for tending to the dogs at the shelter by taking them on walks, giving them baths, and providing them with love. During the time that I volunteer, I meet many new dogs of all shapes and sizes, and found I have a gift in connecting with these magnificent animals. Throughout my adult life, I have also dog sat for friends and family members. As a dog sitter, I provide the love and care for the dogs while their parents are away. Lastly, I am blessed to have two amazing dogs of my own. I have a rescued Dachshund named Charley and a Yorkshire terrier named Riley. These dogs are so special to me and I care for them as if they were my children. These three examples provide me with great experience as a caregiver for pets
