I have worked in the veterinary field as a Receptionist and Veterinary Technician for over three years, and was employed at a doggie daycare as well. Therefore, I have helped to care for and treat a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, hamsters, chinchillas, snakes, birds, and even a couple of chickens. Currently, I volunteer as a foster dog mom and have two rescue dogs of my own (no cats, sadly; my husband is allergic). I can administer medications, administer fluids, and perform standard grooming (nail trims, baths, ear cleaning, tooth brushing, and the like). I love animals and want to keep them as healthy and happy as can be. In this vein, I also walk/jog dogs. I walk my own dogs several miles a day and can attest to the positive behavioral and health benefits.
